“Even though you’d expect everyday in isolation to feel monotonous, everyday really takes on different emotions, feelings, motivations, or lack thereof. It feels like I’m alternating between heavy days where I feel trapped and anxious, and days where I see such opportunity and begin projects, introduce habits, tackle looming tasks, or learn new things. In between the waves of different feelings some things stay the same: I feel good about unlearning ego narratives related to productivity and output, I treasure the knowledge and comfort I’m receiving through reading, I feel gratitude for my privilege and for me and my families safety, and I feel so happy to spend all this time with my husband, it’s such a gift. I know that whenever we come out of this pandemic, that what I have learnt during it, will stay with me.“⁣
