In April 2021, I had the opportunity to virtually meet with the last two Northern White Rhino's on Earth living at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The time was spent listening to the stories of their caretakers, Jojo & Zachary and learning about the importance of conservation & species extinction advocacy from the Ol Pejeta Conservancy Educator, Eva.
Northern White Rhino's are on the brink of extinction due to the poaching of their tusks. As their caretakers said, Najin & Fatu represent the thousands of species facing extinction that most don't even know about.
Najin & Fatu can roam freely on 700 acres, while also being under 24/7 protection from deadly poaching.
